Biography

Alex Vasquez I’m the Co Director of Exodus Ensemble. I was the director of Genesis Ensemble for nine years. Genesis Ensemble was a National competitive guard winning numerous awards through out our years. Genesis Last four years was a Semi Finalist at WGI in Dayton Ohio. We have also traveled to San Diego, Arizona, Union City, and Las Vegas.

I have a great passion for color guard and I’m thankful for the staff I had when I marched. I started at Sierra Vista in Baldwin Park, later after I graduate I joined Black Knights from Burbank Ca. I only had the please of marching my drum corps age-out year, and I’m glad I did with Impulse.

I’ve started teaching when I was in the 10th grade in 1998 at Sierra Vista Jr. High School in Baldwin Park. Some of my other schools I’ve instructed were Sierra Vista, Jones Jr. High school, Manual Arts, La Puente High School, and Lynwood High School.Im excited to be on staff this summer and working with Watchmen. My drum corps teaching experiences have been amazing over the years with Impulse, Gold, Velvet Knights and SoCal Dream Drum Corps.

Thank you Watchmen for letting Exodus and my staff to be apart of your family. I look forward to what the court and field have for us.
