
Watchmen Drum & Bugle Corps Announces 2020 Design Team

Riverside, CA— 10/16/19 — Watchmen Drum and Bugle Corps is pleased to announce their 2020 Design Team! Coming off of their most successful season yet, the team builds on past strength while adding new talent.
Led by Executive Director David Becker, the Watchmen 2020 show is being designed by a true world-class team:
John Meehan, Composer and Brass Arranger
World renowned composer, brass arranger, DCI Hall of Fame member, and brass instrument designer. John is an alumnus of, and current brass arranger/caption head for the Blue Devils.
Ryan H. Turner, Program Coordinator and Drill Designer
With 40 years experience in the marching arts, Ryan has designed over 300 shows and is “The Voice of Southern California” as announcer for regional field shows. He returns to Watchmen for a second year as drill designer and takes on the added role of program coordinator.
Brandon Johnson, Battery Arranger and Caption Head
Alumnus of the Blue Devils, Brandon returns for his third year with Watchmen. Brandon holds a Bachelor of Music from CSU Fullerton and has over a decade of experience working with multiple high school percussion programs.
Marcel Barragan, Front Ensemble Arranger and Caption Head
After being a member of Watchmen for the inaugural three seasons, Marcel moved on to perform with the Troopers, a DCI world class corps. He is currently studying Music Education at CSU Fullerton.
Randy Badillo and Alex Vasquez, Color Guard Designers and Co-Caption Heads
The team behind nine years of success with Genesis Ensemble have joined Watchmen to launch Exodus Ensemble Winter Guard and lead the Watchmen Drum & Bugle Corps Color Guard.
Israel Martinez, Visual Caption Head
Israel “Izzy” has been visual caption head with Temescal Canyon High School marching band for 12 years, an alumnus of Santa Clara Vanguard (2005) and Riverside Community College. This is Izzy’s seventh season with Watchmen.
Stephanie Rittenhouse, Brass Caption Head
Stephanie has served as Director of Instrumental Music Chaparral High School and returns to Watchmen as brass caption head for her second season and has been involved with Watchmen as part of the brass staff for six seasons.
Krystal Hamlin, Movement Specialist
Krystal has served as a color guard caption head, instructor and designer for Chaparral High School for several years and she looks forward to spending her third season with the corps!
