With Watchmen Drum & Bugle Corps 2020 season being on hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which means my (Michael Nash) duty as Tour Manager was also on hiatus. What will I do with all of those free weekends this summer? I am an artist, but stone carving in a 2 bedroom apartment is out of the question; after some reflection I have decided to do a montage painting of Watchmen Drum Corps… and auction it off, or even better sell prints of it too. 

Auction will start on June 1st and end in 14 days. Pre-order prints may be purchased for $50. All proceeds will go through Watchmen 2021season kickstarter. Both are 16″ x 20 “

Periodically pictures & live events on Saturday @ Noon with “ Paint with Nash” on Watchmen Facebook page throughout the process.

WATCHMEN ON HIATUS FOR 2020

Riverside, CA— 03/26/2020 — Now that it is official, and Drum Corps International (DCI) has cancelled the 2020 competitive season, the Board of Directors of Watchmen Arts Association has decided to place the Watchmen Drum and Bugle Corps on hiatus for the remainder of 2020. Executive Director David Becker, along with the board of directors and staff, are already meeting electronically and starting to lay the groundwork to come back stronger than ever in 2021.

Watchmen Arts Association remains committed “To provide a youth activity with positive educational experience that promotes the growth and development of specific life skills consistent with the Watchmen Tradition of Excellence.”

In response to the most recent developments with the coronavirus (COVID-19), Drum Corps International convened a special meeting of its voting membership on Tuesday, March 17 via teleconference to discuss the current impact on the DCI community. Representatives from member organizations shared mitigation strategies and discussed planning options for the 2020 DCI Summer Tour.

Watchmen Respond to Coronavirus | Changes to March 15th…

Due to growing concerns regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19),Watchmen Drum & Bugle Corps are announcing cancellation of our Sunday March 15th, brass and percussion Call Back / rehearsal that was scheduled to take place. The California Department of Public Health and Governor Newsom have recommended cancelling all large gathering events through at least the end of the month.

This decision was made with consideration to the diverse geographical locations in which our members, auditionees, and staff originate.
