Watchmen extended tour for 2018 season

Watchmen Drum & Bugle Corps is pleased to announce that they are extending summer tour season for 2018. DCI representatives indicated they are excited that Watchmen is taking the next step towards their goal to Drum Corps International Championships in Indianapolis in the near future.

Meet the Drum Majors for 2018

Watchmen Drum and Bugle Corps under the direction of David Becker, is pleased to announce the selection of Noah Galambos & Jacobo Herrera as the Watchmen Drum Majors for the 2018 season. Noah and Jacobo were selected from a candidate pool of eight that went through an intense audition process. Welcome to the Watchmen family.

Drum Major Front Field Conductor

Noah been a musician since he was 10 years old, starting on Bass Guitar, which is still his main instrument and played all through Middle School as a member of the concert band and jazz band.

For three years Noah plays on Bass in the front ensemble at San Luis Obispo High School and a member of the student leadership board his Junior year. Then in 2017 he was selected as Head Drum Major.

Outside of the marching arts Noah been a member of the San Luis Obispo County Honor Jazz band since his freshmen year, and has lead and performed in several of his own ensembles.  After high school I plan to attend the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, where he hopes to graduate with degrees in Music Education and Composition.

Assistant Drum Major Back Field Conductor

Jacobo Calixto Herrera is talented trumpet player from Redlands East Valley High School. He is a member of Redlands East Valley High School’s Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble. Both groups are award winners at SCSBOA festivals.

Jacobo has performed in selected group that won first place at the Festival of Gold in Anaheim.  This same group has been invited  to the Festival of Gold in San Francisco with the possibility  of performing at Carnegie Hall.  Jacobo has performed with multiple honor bands including the Inland Empire Honor Band and the All City Honor Band of Redlands.

Jacobo has marched for the past three seasons, starting in eighth grade, and two years as a REV Marching Wildcat. He has enjoyed his experience as a finalist marching at SCSBOA Field Tournament Finals.  Jacobo dream colleges would be Stanford, San Diego state university, UCLA, or USC, and look forward to helping, seeing, and guiding the Watchmen for the 2018 season.


New to Watchmen Percussion Staff

Watchmen Percussion is please to welcome Pierce Halliburton – Movement Specialist

Drill Designer, Visual Tech, and Choreographer

Pierce has taught at various schools around the Inland Empire including Apple Valley HS and Banning HS as a Percussion Caption Head and Granite Hills HS, Beaumont HS, Sitting Bull MS, and Apple Valley MS as a Quad Tech. He has also composed and arranged music for the schools he taught as well.

As a percussionist and a performer, Pierce has marched with Mandarins Drum & Bugle Corps as well as Watchmen Indoor and Orange County Independent.

Outside of the marching activity, Pierce has also assists Crafton Hills College as one of the choreographers for their Stage/Dance Productions. He also works at the Disneyland Resort as an Entertainment Cast Member.

He currently resides in Riverside, Ca.
